African fern pine
An elegant evergreen conifer with soft, gently weeping narrow green foliage. It will do best in full sun or part shade, in rich well-drained soil. It is tolerant of coastal conditions and dry weather when established. Use it as a specimen tree, or as a tall privacy screen. It also does well in large pots.
It typically grows to around 10m tall and 6m wide, and will get even bigger as it matures over the decades. It can be kept to a smaller size through regular pruning and trimming.
