Sophora 'Dragon's Gold'
Dwarf kōwhai
A compact and bushy kōwhai cultivar, originating from the native Sophora molloyi.
It has masses of small yellow flowers from autumn, through winter, and into spring. Loved by native birds such as tūī and tauhou (silvereyes). Responds well to pruning, making it a good option for a loose hedge, or even as a cloud pruned specimen.
Grows to around 2m tall by 2m wide, prefers a sunny site but will tolerate some light shade. It does well in moist but well drained soil, and can tolerate coastal conditions.

We are currently offering shipping for our 1.5L grade plants. We can fit 9 x 1.5L plants per box, so please order in multiples of 9 plants to make the best of our shipping rates.
We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Orders placed before 8 a.m. Tuesday will ship that day. Orders placed after 8am Tuesday will ship the following Monday.
Please contact us directly if you are making a large order, or if you would like to purchase our larger grade plants. We are happy to arrange freight if required.
Pick up is available for all grades of plants.
