Red Imperial Bromeliad
An impressive architectural plant, it forms a central rosette with smooth broad leaves that turn deep wine red when planted in sunlight. It can grow to 1.5m to 2m wide at maturity, and will send out a huge central flower spike. After flowering the plant will slowly die off, but should produce small 'pups' at the base that can be replanted.
It does best in a sunny location, but better with some afternoon shade. It needs loose well drained soil, and the plants natural leaf reservoirs should be kept topped up with water, especially in summer. It prefers warmer or coastal climates, but it will tolerate a light frost.

We are currently offering shipping for our 1.5L grade plants. We can fit 9 x 1.5L plants per box, so please order in multiples of 9 plants to make the best of our shipping rates.
We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Orders placed before 8 a.m. Tuesday will ship that day. Orders placed after 8am Tuesday will ship the following Monday.
Please contact us directly if you are making a large order, or if you would like to purchase our larger grade plants. We are happy to arrange freight if required.
Pick up is available for all grades of plants.
